AIM2000 analyzes the molecular structure and calculates properties of atoms in molecules as defined by the quantum theory of atoms in molecules. It is an extension of the programs developed at the Quantum Theory Project, University of Florida, (1980-1987). The molecular structure is expected to be given as an input, but a program for the quantum chemical calculation of the molecular structure using density functional theory (DFT) is also included.
