A Boeing 737 carrying 132 people crashed early Monday in China, according to state media. The plane crashed in Teng County, in the southern Chinese region of Guangxi, around 2:38 p.m. local time, according to the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC).

The plane was a Boeing 737-800 that had flown for nearly seven years, according to Flightradar24. It was not a 737 Max, the model that was involved in two fatal crashes in 2018 and 2019. The cause of the crash is not yet known.
