Reggie Jackson Signs with Denver Nuggets for $10.25 Million
Denver Nuggets Add Experienced Point Guard to Roster
Jackson Projected as Seventh-Highest Paid Player on Team
Former Los Angeles Clippers and Charlotte Hornets point guard Reggie Jackson has signed a two-year, $10.25 million contract with the Denver Nuggets, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski. The deal includes a fully guaranteed $10.25 million, making it one of the most lucrative contracts for a backup point guard in the NBA.
Jackson is expected to slot in as the Nuggets' backup behind starting point guard Jamal Murray. He is projected to be the team's seventh-highest paid player for the 2023-24 season, behind Nikola Jokic, Jamal Murray, Aaron Gordon, Michael Porter Jr., Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, and Bruce Brown.
Jackson's agent, Aaron Mintz of Creative Artists Agency, negotiated the deal with the Nuggets. Jackson's previous contract with the Clippers was worth $11.2 million this season, but he negotiated a buyout with the team after falling out of the rotation.
The Denver Nuggets acquired Jackson as a late-season addition ahead of the playoffs. He is expected to provide depth and experience to the team's bench, which will be crucial in their quest for an NBA championship.
