European Qualifiers for UEFA EURO 2024

The European Qualifiers for UEFA EURO 2024 ran from March to November 2023 with the play-offs for the remaining finals places taking place in March 2024. The qualifying draw took place in Frankfurt on Sunday 9 October 2022.

How does EURO 2024 qualifying work?

The 53 UEFA member associations were drawn into 10 groups of five or six teams. The teams in each group played each other home and away on a round-robin basis. The top two teams in each group qualified directly for UEFA EURO 2024, while the third-placed teams entered the play-offs.

Play-offs

The play-offs featured 12 teams: the 10 third-placed teams from the qualifying groups and two additional teams based on their performance in the UEFA Nations League 2022/23. The teams were drawn into three play-off paths, each featuring four teams.

Finals

The finals of UEFA EURO 2024 will be held in Germany from 14 June to 14 July 2024. The 23 qualified teams will be joined by the hosts, Germany.
